Define the role of the collection
Start with the occasion, colour and dress silhouette. Decide what your customer comes to you for before adding attractive but unrelated models. A focused first selection is easier to explain, photograph and compare after sales begin.
Balance breadth with depth
Breadth brings variety; depth keeps useful sizes available in a smaller set of models. Both use budget. Put the proposed colours and size series next to each model code so you can see where the order is concentrated.
Keep a decision sheet
For each published style, record the link, code, category, colours, size series and any unanswered question. Do not fill missing fabric, availability or delivery details from a similar-looking garment. Ask for confirmation before committing.
Learn from the first selection
Once the collection is on your rails, compare actual demand by size and style. A weak result can reflect timing, fit or colour, not only category. Keep the original size-series information so the next selection is based on evidence.
